The brief

DAC Beachcroft, a global law firm with 3,000 employees worldwide, wanted a series of videos to support their Early Careers recruitment in a competitive market.

The aim wasn’t simply to promote roles, but to give candidates a genuine sense of the culture at the firm: what it feels like to work there, and who they’d be learning from.

Alongside a hero film to be used on their website and at events, DAC Beachcroft wanted supporting content that could clearly explain the application process, showcase life at the firm, and provide enough material to support an extended campaign across social channels.

From research to the script

Before any filming took place, we spent time understanding what really mattered.

We began with a series of conversations with DAC Beachcroft’s Early Careers team to define clear objectives, key messages and campaign goals. This helped shape the direction of the films and identify the most effective formats for reaching their target audience.

We then carried out pre-interviews with people at different stages of their careers across the firm. This gave us a rounded view of the Early Careers journey, the culture candidates would be stepping into, and the values that genuinely shape day-to-day life at DAC Beachcroft.

Alongside a deeper look at the firm’s employer value proposition, brand and culture, this ensured the story we told felt authentic, not scripted or idealised.

Using these insights, we developed scripts that spoke directly to Early Careers candidates, while staying true to the tone and identity of the firm.

Bringing the ideas to life

For the hero film, we created a fast-paced, two-minute story designed to feel confident, human and engaging.

Rather than relying on narration or heavy scripting, the story was told by the people themselves: young lawyers, members of the Early Careers team, and colleagues from across the firm. Their voices carried the film.

The structure was carefully directed to give the piece energy and flow, while allowing DAC Beachcroft’s modern offices to feature naturally in the background, rather than as a focal point.

Filming took place across multiple locations over two days, with a focus on keeping the process straightforward and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Post-production was handled collaboratively, with regular client reviews to shape the final films and ensure everything stayed on-brand.

The result was a suite of engaging, authentic videos: including a hero film, supporting pieces and social cutdowns, all working together to support DAC Beachcroft’s early careers recruitment objectives.
